...which makes no sense of course, but at least it explains why I've had such a terrible performance this week - because I'm positioning for the worst, and I'm only-short in my portfolio.

Still, this realization made me feel somewhat better. I'm not at a complete loss (that'd be 100% loss of the portfolio - that hasn't happened yet.) I'm only at a substantial loss.

Now, what usually follows a "best week of the year"? I'm expecting, a not-the-best week of the year, even a red week maybe, where my short position can recover. So not all is lost, and I actually look forward to seeing what happens come Monday, and the coming week in general.
